Release 2025.02

February 20, 2025

In this release we again offer a number of new features, but the emphasis in this release is on fixing a number of bugs. Below you can read the complete overview of all the changes in this release of Maki!

What’s in this release?

Ability to print tickets

It is now possible to be able to print a ticket that prints information from all sections. Previously, only the information was visible on a printout from the section that was currently open. To print a ticket, open the desired ticket and click on the printer icon in the upper right corner.

Add contacts to a task associated with a project

As of this release, there is the ability to be able to add contacts of a relation to a task already linked to a project, making it easy to ensure overview and communication with the right people, especially now that the contacts can also access projects and tasks through the portal.

Optimizing visibility of task priority

In the overview of tasks, the priority of a task is now displayed with a color, so that higher priority tasks stand out visually and stand out immediately.

Role “Standard contact for tickets” has been renamed to “Standard contact”

When changing Contacts, in the permissions section, the name of the role Standard contact for tickets has been changed to Standard contact. Also, the filter option for this has been updated with the correct name in the contacts overview screen. This is because the role standard contact now has meaning not only for tickets, but also for projects and tasks that can also be accessed by contacts in the portal.

Optimization ticket registration on projects for contact person

As a contact person you can now quickly create a ticket on a particular project from the ticket overview screen by selecting this project in the filter options and then clicking on the plus button, the new ticket is then automatically linked to the selected project. You can also easily create a ticket from a project as a contact person by clicking on the Add ticket button in the Tickets section of the project. Also then the new ticket is immediately linked to the corresponding project.

Resolved bugs

Removal of phone number in company fails

In some cases, phone numbers of relations could not be changed or deleted. This has been resolved.

Activating/deactivating modules does not work in some tenants

In some tenants of Maki, changes to activated modules were not saved, this has been fixed.

Alignment checklist items is not correct

In the checklist at tasks, long checklist items were not displayed correctly and their alignment was incorrect. This has been changed and also the length of a checklist item is now limited to 200 characters.

Text was sometimes not saved when adding a comment to a ticket

When a user accidentally clicked outside the pop-up while entering a comment on a ticket, the text already entered was not saved and had to be entered again. This has been changed and the entered text is now saved anyway.

Creditcheck returns #404 error

Performing a credit check from the customer card gave a #404 error. This has been fixed, and the credit check now works correctly again.

Pagination does not work correctly in the tasks section on project page

When there are many tasks associated with a project, a pagination is added in the tasks section so you can easily browse the tasks. This pagination was not working correctly, this has been fixed.

Cursor position is not correct after pasting image or text into comment

After pasting text or an image when adding a comment in a ticket, the cursor was not positioned in the correct position, namely directly behind the pasted text and image. This has been corrected and is now working properly.

When returning to an overview screen, not all changes are immediately visible

When a user selects a detail line from an overview screen, for example a task from the Tasks overview screen, when returning to the overview screen the changes just made to the detail line were not always immediately visible. This has been adjusted and now works correctly.

Tasks sometimes do not get the right priority

When a user in the project page created tasks based on templates, these created tasks were not given the correct priority, this has been corrected.

Field for hourly rate on project page does not work correctly

When an hourly rate was entered on the project page for a project which is billable, the hourly rate was not displayed masked off correctly and when a change was made to the project, saving was blocked because the hourly rate supposedly did not have the correct format. This has been resolved.

Invalid email notification after modifying task or ticket

When the start or end date of a task was changed, an email notification was incorrectly sent that the task was assigned to an employee. When a ticket was closed, in some cases an email notification was sent that the ticket had been reassigned to an employee. Both cases have been corrected.

Ticket does not go back to status Active after customer response

When a contact responded to a ticket which had the status On Hold and this happened in conjunction with a priority change, the status of the ticket was not automatically changed to Active. This is not correct and causes confusion, this has been changed and is now working properly.

Various modifications under the hood

Not directly visible to the users of Maki, but essential in the performance and robustness of both the Front-End and Back-End of Maki, several improvements and modifications have been made.
