Release 2026.06
June 29, 2026
This release focuses on further professionalizing the sales process, improving the user experience, and strengthening Maki’s technical foundation. New features have been added related to quotes, customer relationships, dashboards, and reports, while various quality and usability improvements have been implemented. In addition, investments have been made in maintenance, security, and the modernization of the application to support future developments.
New Features
Automatic Status Update for the Account When a Quote or Order Is Created
From now on, customer statuses will be automatically updated based on progress in the sales process. Leads automatically become Prospects when a quote is issued, and Prospects become Accounts as soon as an order is placed. This ensures that customer management remains up to date and that changes are automatically recorded in the history.
Quotation Limits and the Quotation Approval Process
A maximum quote amount can be set for each sales representative. Quotes exceeding this limit are automatically submitted for approval, after which authorized employees can approve or reject them. This adds an extra layer of control to the quoting process.
Notifications for quotes that require approval
The approval process is supported by automatic notifications. Authorized approvers receive notifications, which helps speed up the approval process.
Notifications for quotes that are about to expire
Maki automatically sends notifications when quotes are about to expire. The warning period can be customized for each organization, and notifications can be sent to both employees and customers.
Expand the ticket dashboard and make it available to standard contacts
The ticket dashboard has been expanded to include new KPI visualizations and is now also available to contacts with the “Default Contact” role. This gives customers better insight into the performance and progress of their tickets.
Native discount at the line item and quote level
Discounts can now be applied directly at both the quote line and total levels. This eliminates the need to add discount items as a workaround and makes the quoting process more in line with real-world practices.
Communication Feed Available in Sales Quotes
The communication feed has been made available so that changes, history, price adjustments, version control, and digital signatures can be viewed directly from Sales Quotes. This ensures greater transparency within the quoting process.
Industries and Industry-Specific Gifts for Business Associates
Contacts can now be linked to a specific sector. Alerts and mandatory confirmations can be set up for each sector, so that employees are immediately made aware of important points to note when communicating with customers.
Include the ticket title in emails to contacts
From now on, notification emails about tickets will also include the ticket title. This makes it immediately clear what the email is about.
Transfer zero-amount invoices to Exact
Invoices with a total amount of €0.00 can now also be forwarded to Exact. This ensures that all invoices are processed in the same way, regardless of the invoice amount.
Last action for tasks and projects
The task and project overviews now display the most recent communication activity. This makes it easier to see where recent activity has taken place and allows you to sort by this criterion.
Filtering by Multiple Employees in Time Tracking
The hours overview now supports selecting multiple employees at once. In addition, various performance improvements and English-language optimizations have been implemented within the Time module.
You can delete invoices with the “Send” status
Invoices with the “Send ” status can now be deleted by employees with the appropriate permissions. Once deleted, the invoices disappear from the overview, and the corresponding lines become available again for resubmission. The invoice already created in Exact remains unchanged.
Resolved bugs
Inserts are capitalized correctly
When adding contacts, prefixes are now processed correctly. Names such as van der Laan are now saved correctly.
White screen after creating a ticket resolved
A bug that could cause a blank screen to appear after creating a ticket has been fixed. As a result, users can continue in the normal workflow without interruption.
More Efficient Validation for Sales Quotes and Articles
Validation within Sales Quotes and Articles has been optimized. This ensures a more stable user experience and lighter entity checks, resulting in less load per request.
Consistent error pages and proper navigation
All error pages have been standardized visually and now feature consistent navigation. Additionally, the Maki logo no longer links to an invalid page.
Satisfaction Survey Validation Improved
Users can no longer save a satisfaction rating without selecting stars. This prevents incorrect navigation and 404 pages.
Maintenance
React Router and related front-end packages have been modernized
The routing within the application has been updated, and several outdated front-end packages have been replaced. This improves the application’s maintainability, compatibility, and security.
Server Maintenance and Platform Updates
The monthly server updates have been completed or prepared. This included updating system components, runtimes, Elastic, RabbitMQ, and other infrastructure to ensure security, performance, and stability.
Back-end & Front-end Updates
Various technical dependencies and framework components have been updated to keep the platform current and future-proof.
Rate Limiting and Request Protection
Security measures against excessive traffic and abuse have been further enhanced by implementing multi-level request protection. This improves the platform’s stability.
Dashboards migrated to Syncfusion
The dashboards have been technically migrated to Syncfusion to serve as the foundation for improved performance, maintainability, and future expansions.
Optimizing Articles and Article Categories
Various refactorings, validation improvements, and code optimizations have been implemented in Articles and Article Categories. This simplifies future maintenance and improves stability.
History Expanded with Historical Values
Historical changes within Articles and Sales Quotes now also store the previous values. This creates a more complete audit trail of changes.
Sidebar Rebuilt
The existing sidebar component has been replaced with a new implementation that features improved expansion and collapse functionality. This makes navigation more stable and easier to maintain.
Improved filter behavior for multi-select fields
Multiselect filters remain open during selection and perform a single filter action only after the selection is complete. This reduces unnecessary API calls and ensures a smoother user experience.
